Dr. Michael Stypula is a native of Sharon, Pennsylvania. He attended St. Bonaventure University in 1976 and received a BS in Biology. He then attended Temple University School of Dentistry, where he was awarded his Doctor of Dental Science (D.D.S.) degree in 1983. In 1983 he performed a 1 year general practice residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Stypula practiced as a general dentist from 1984 until 1994. At the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, which he attended from 1994 until 1997, Dr. Stypula received his post-graduate training in periodontics and implants. He received the degree of M.D.S. from UPSDM.
Dr. Stypula maintains a specialty practice in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania, including surgical and non-surgical modalities of periodontal therapy, implants, and regenerative procedures. Dr. Stypula has received his Laser Periodontal Therapy license from the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry and is utilizing the PerioLase MVP-7 for periodontal treatment in his practice.
Dr. Stypula has 3 children, 2 sons and 1 daughter. He currently resides in Marshall Township with his wife Lori and his youngest child Julia.
